I could find quite a bit of information about health benefits from various frequencies and the use of tuning forks. I've been reading about the practice for a couple of years and decided to order this set to feel them and see what they do. I always use my cat to experiment on. He has diabetic neuropathy that shows in his back left foot sometimes. I used the C 128 and the mallet included to provide a constant hum over his lower spine and hind legs, and feet. He stood still for it, and eventually completely relaxed, laid down and stretched out, kneading the carpet while on his side. He does that when he's very blissed out, usually when he's glad I've come home and as part of a greeting. But, this is a pretty good sign that the tuning fork felt very good. I didn't touch him, just moved the tuning fork around him without touching his fur. I tried all of the three devices on myself, my feet, ankles, knees, head, neck and shoulders, and they definitely vibrate and sound nice. I imagine using these tuning forks as a part of meditation practice, much like the singing crystal bowls, would help to bring about a greater quality of meditation. This is a great starter set, there are many very nice and specialized tuning forks that are used for specific practices, but as a gift, or a treat for yourself as a beginner curiosity, this is a really great value. Not to say they aren't quality, they could be very good or as good as the higher priced tuning forks.

I am an amateur tuning fork man. My sole purpose, previously, was using tuning forks for tuning guitars, but over the process of time, I learned that tuning forks may be applied for the purposes of healing. The various frequencies stimulate various reactions, and in my case, mostly relaxation and sleep. The application to my body is relaxing. The sounds are comforting. I’m satisfied with the set I purchased. Each tuning fork has its own soft pouch. They got here sooner than expected. Thank you Lots of Zen.
